Job Title: Senior System Administrator

Job Summary:

FIS Global is seeking a highly skilled Senior System Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT infrastructure team, you will be responsible for providing 24/7 on-call support for all assigned production-related systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy releases of new technologies and design, install, configure, maintain, and integrate system testing performance of PC/server operating systems, related utilities, and hardware.
  • Install, maintain, and upgrade internal computer hardware and software systems used for designing and developing company products.
  • Control user access and passwords.
  • Propose and implement system enhancements to improve reliability and performance of systems.
  • Monitor usage and performance.
  • Train personnel on system usage.
  • Troubleshoot server, software, and hardware issues.
  • Assist with recommending, scheduling, and implementing system hardware and/or software upgrades or repairs.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend software and hardware products.
  • Provide new hardware specifications to users based on application needs and anticipated growth.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, business administration, or other related discipline or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
  • Experience in one or more of the following disciplines: software quality control, systems analysis, or system support.
  • Knowledge of multiple operating systems and related utilities and hardware.
  • Knowledge of storage management, TCP/IP, network monitoring, and tools and technical writing principles and practices.
  • Effective analytical, problem-solving, installation, and maintenance skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, vendors, clients, and public.

Preferred Skills:

  • Deployment automation with Octopus Deploy and/or Jenkins.
  • Windows Servers with strong scripting experience, focusing on automation and remote management.
  • General VMWare vCenter and ESXi experience.
  • Security with a focus on remediating insecure configurations and vulnerabilities.
  • Understanding of server/network monitoring concepts.
  • Basic Networking and load balancing knowledge.
  • SQL query knowledge is important.
  • Public cloud experience, specifically related to availability, design resiliency, deployment, and monitoring.

Salary Range:

The pay range for this full-time position is $102,280.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location.
