About the Role

Happier People Management is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead the company's supply of products and services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the FF&E research, sourcing, procurement, and working with our In-House design team to execute design ideas and take them from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategize to find cost-effective deals and suppliers
  • Discover ways to cut procurement expenses to invest in growth and people
  • Work closely with internal departments in project preparation and execution
  • Review and ensure that purchase orders are distributed to suppliers and facilitate all shop drawings and required approvals
  • Communicate clearly to establish expectations on the delivery schedule and proactively manage all participants of the supply chain to guarantee the successful completion of the project
  • Manage the entry and assure the accuracy of Furniture Fixtures and Equipment (FF&E), Operating Supplies and Equipment (OS&E), Construction, Engineering, and Operational specifications from the interior design specification book into project management software application
  • Conduct a global and official RFP of all commodities related to assigned projects within the project timeline
  • Prepare a concise tender analysis to be presented to the Director of Purchasing, Interior Design, and Project Teams for approval
  • Work with the projects team to establish project timelines, quantities, and required delivery schedules
  • Manage the issuance of purchase orders to suppliers through a project management software application. Assure accuracy between interior design specifications and purchase orders
  • Proactively and effectively communicate to the projects team and the supplier any lead-time conflicts and manage the successful execution of product deliveries
  • Provide superior issue resolution and customer support
  • Manage the approved budget and submit detailed tracker reports
  • Assist the Logistics & Warehouse Team in receiving the orders and preparing them for delivery to the venues
  • Manage the reconciliation efforts, which include resolving any discrepancies, obtaining all supplier and carrier invoices and/or credits, and submitting them to the Accounting department for immediate processing
  • Manage the daily activities of the Project Expeditor to ensure that they are being properly utilized for project support
  • Conduct resource allocation to ensure that project and departmental deadlines are met
  • Foster an environment that supports and encourages personal and professional growth
  • Address and proactively resolve any personnel issues
Requirements
  • Minimum of five years of experience with furnishings, finishes, art and accessories design, and procurement in a hospitality design firm
  • A 4-year degree in Interior, Furniture, or Industrial Design
  • Demonstrates a strong balance of technical expertise and conceptual design skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to accept creative direction and revisions collaboratively and graciously
  • Skilled with Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD and 3d computer or hand representation
  • Ability to work as a team and independently

Compensation

The base pay range for this position is a salary range of $80,000 - $95,000 per year. The determination of what a specific employee in this job classification is paid within the range depends on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, prior employment history/job-related knowledge, qualifications and skills, etc.
