Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Part-Time Library Technician to join our team at Cobb County, GA. As a key member of our library staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized library environment, and supporting the daily operations of our library.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide circulation and information services to patrons, including checking books in and out, registering patrons for library cards, and registering patrons for voter registration cards.
  • Take fines for overdue books and assist in keeping daily statistics.
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of library materials, services, and programs.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED required; supplemented by six or more months of work experience involving public interaction/customer service.
  • Experience using personal computers, projectors, electronic devices such as e-readers, standard office equipment, and software applications.
  • Excellent computer skills and customer service skills required.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (5-10 pounds). Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or work station.
