Maintenance Supervisor Job Description

GMH Communities is a dynamic real estate company seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance needs of our properties. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the physical appearance and work orders on our properties are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain positive resident relations through exceptional customer service
  • Participate in daily operations and train and supervise the maintenance team
  • Negotiate with vendors, schedule and contract services as needed
  • Conduct regular property health and safety inspections
  • Communicate with the General Manager regarding maintenance and curb appeal issues
  • Respond to emergencies according to policies and procedures
  • Develop and maintain standards for cleanliness and appearance of buildings and common areas
  • Inspect work performed by contractors and vendors to ensure quality standards
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years' experience in apartment or hospitality maintenance
  • 2-3 years' experience managing a team
  • HVAC I and II Certification required, mechanical background preferred
  • A valid driver's license, good driving record, and proof of insurance
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, leadership, and basic computer skills
