Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative. This role will provide exceptional service to citizens and customers, ensuring a positive experience with the City of Jefferson, MO.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service to citizens and customers, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collect revenues and process payments, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with city policies.
  • Issue various licenses and permits, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Refer calls and inquiries to appropriate locations, ensuring seamless communication and resolution.
  • Assist administrative staff with various tasks, including data entry, filing, and correspondence.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to type with accuracy and speed, with minimal errors.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping practices and procedures, including financial software and systems.
  • Ability to make moderately complex decisions, with minimal supervision.
