Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Workforce Outreach Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for recruiting and placing job seekers in positions with our clients, such as the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC).
Responsibilities:
* Source and reach out to talent to ensure they are a good fit for our clients and partners
* Support the DCS team, client recruiters, community partners, consultants, and others regarding participant fit for positions and feedback from hiring managers
* Follow recruitment process and compliance systems to ensure effective administration of the intake and placement process
* Provide support in conducting individual reviews, phone interviews, screenings, pre-qualification steps, and presentations
* Perform interview scheduling and meet daily, weekly, and monthly quotas and deadlines
* Use applicant tracking systems, vendor spreadsheets, and systems to enter data related to prospective candidates
* Provide administrative support, including job postings, letter generation, and in-bound/out-bound phone calls
* Scans and edits resumes accurately and efficiently
* Pre-screens candidates to determine the most qualified and promising candidates
* Conduct thorough and accurate weekly communication with DCS community partners
* Deliver regular ongoing career coaching services
* Use personal computer workstations to input data accurately
* Communicate and correct documents and information that do not meet quality standards
* Conduct case management of candidates as necessary
* Collaborate on special projects
Requirements:
* Associate or 4-year degree in Human Resources with 2-3 years experience in workforce development, career coaching, or providing direct social services
* A minimum of one year of human resources job recruitment experience
* A minimum of six months of workforce development, outreach, or training program administration and/or customer service experience
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Demonstrate excellent customer service skills
* Exceptional listening skills
* Good prioritization and time management skills
* Detailed oriented with follow-through
* Familiarity with the communities being served
* Public speaking experience
* Ability to document client's progress in a timely and organized manner
* Excellent data entry skills
* Proficient in Google Workspace and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
