CORT Events is seeking a highly skilled Accounting Manager to oversee the daily activities of accounting and financial transaction processing personnel. This key business lead is responsible for the accuracy of all financial data and leads CORT Events' monthly close procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close procedures, including review of accruals, journal entries, commissions and rebate calculations, bad debt analysis, and financial results trend analysis.
  • Ensures accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to financial management, accounting, and cash.
  • Leads and oversees the contributions of five accounting and billing team members.
  • Performs ad hoc financial analysis to support business strategy decisions, including forecasting project costs, ROI, IRR, ROA, and assumed cash flow.
  • Participates in commercial activities, including reviewing and negotiating contracts and decisioning extension of credit to clients.
  • Directs the maintenance of general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable aging, key account reconciliations, depreciation schedules, asset landed cost information, and operating expenses.
  • Coordinates preparation of documentation to support internal and external audit requests and financial reporting to corporate and holding company stakeholders.
  • Helps team members outside finance to understand and navigate accounting and finance policies and internal controls to deliver amazing results to our clients.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • Minimum of four years of related experience in multi-location general ledger accounting, financial statement audit, corporate or commercial finance, accounts payable, or accounts receivable.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Certified Public Accountant.
  • Prior experience or interest in commercial finance and budget management.
