Join the team at Nationwide Vision as an Optical Retail Consultant. Your expertise will help patients choose frames that complement their facial features and lifestyle while meeting their visual needs.

Location: Prescott Valley, AZ

Compensation: $15/hour plus commissions

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service to both external and internal clients.
  • Utilize auto-lensometer and manual lensometer effectively.
  • Guide patients in selecting frames that align with their style preferences and optical prescriptions.
  • Educate customers on lens options, coatings, and frame styles tailored to their requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current eyewear brands and products.
  • Accurately measure various parameters such as bridge size, eye size, and pupillary distance.
  • Ensure quality control by checking incoming orders for accuracy.
  • Dispense eyewear orders and perform necessary adjustments and repairs.
  • Resolve patient concerns through effective troubleshooting.
  • Support other departments as needed and perform general office duties.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience is a plus.
  • Reliable transportation for potential travel between locations.
  • Willingness to work weekends as required.
  • Strong desire to learn and grow within the optical industry.
  • Ability to foster a positive team environment focused on patient care.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires regular use of hands for handling and fitting eyewear. Candidates should be able to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods, with the ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Vision abilities required include close vision and depth perception.
