About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Automation Systems Specialist to join our team at Siemens Industry, Inc. This is a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and contribute to the development of sustainable solutions for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commission and start up new distributed digital control systems on construction sites, ensuring timely completion and documenting commissioning details.
  • Network technologies: Assist with data backup from data servers, create automated backup procedures, and troubleshoot inconsistencies in network functions or sequence of operations.
  • Support the confirmation of proper network performance and assist with the setup and configuration of PC workstations and user interfaces.
  • Operational testing, verification, and acceptance: Run routine reports to review system operation, participate in final inspection and testing, and support customer acceptance.
  • Complete and submit routine written reports, provide plans and control system documents to engineering for as-built drawings, and support project site communication and coordination.
  • Work overtime when needed, adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures, and demonstrate ability to work in a team environment providing dedicated support to customers.
Requirements
  • Electro-mechanical aptitude and user PC/software skills.
  • Knowledge of reading, understanding, and interpreting design and construction documents.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time during year one.
  • Ability to work in a variety of circumstances, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high lift equipment, working in ducts, crawl spaces, roofs, basements, above ceilings, and in various conditions.
  • Must be able to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet as well as able to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted.
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Rotational On-Call and/or Minimal Overnight Travel.
  • Compressed schedule performance can be a factor and will require extended hours to meet commitments.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
  • Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations.
  • This position supports a Siemens customer that requires all employees and vendors to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 where permitted by applicable law and in accordance with an accommodation based on legally protected reasons.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma or state-recognized GED; Associate or Bachelor's degree in electronics, mechanical engineering, or related.
  • 1+ years' experience installing and servicing electronic control or HVAC equipment.
