Job Summary

CVS Health is seeking a skilled Cloud Automation Engineer to join our team. As a Cloud Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust automations using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop proof of concepts and adopt an API-driven approach for automation.
  • Design and implement robust automations using GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud SQL, and Cloud Composer.
  • Design and build user-friendly UI screens using React.js.
  • Perform QA testing on the application and automation after build.
  • Support the application after production move.
  • Document relevant decisions, design, and other important information for future reference.
  • Participate in Agile scrum activities and project status meetings on a regular basis.
  • Participate in user story grooming and design discussions with the technical lead.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with one or more programming languages such as Python, PySpark, or Java.
  • 2+ years of experience building APIs in Python or any other programming language.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with React.js or Node.js.
  • Strong SQL skills.
  • Hands-on experience with a major cloud platform (GCP, AWS, Azure).
  • Strong knowledge of cloud architecture and tools in designing and optimizing processes.
  • Experience in building automations and UI applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • GCP experience with BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Python, Cloud Composer/Airflow, Spanner, Cloud Shell, HDFS, Hive, GCS, Dataflow/Data Fusion, and DataProc.
  • GCP Data Engineer certification is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking ability.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills within and across teams.
  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry is a plus.
  • Ability to understand complex systems and solve challenging analytical problems.
  • Ability to communicate technical ideas and results to non-technical clients in written and verbal form.
  • Proven ability to create innovative solutions to highly complex technical problems.
  • Work experience on GCP ecosystem and building CICD-enabled pipelines.

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. Master's degree is preferred.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is $72,144.200.00. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.

The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors.

This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
