Responsibilities:
Express is looking for a Retail Operations Associate Manager to enhance our store performance.
The Retail Operations Associate Manager assists the store manager in overseeing daily operations, talent acquisition, team management, training, and sales initiatives. This role is pivotal in driving productivity, ensuring compliance with company standards, and cultivating an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.
1. Attract, recruit, develop, and retain top-tier talent.
2. Foster a positive work environment that promotes high morale among store associates.
3. Encourage teamwork and a unified approach among all staff members.
4. Mentor, coach, and manage performance and development for all store associates, including Sales Leaders, to promote professional growth and create a talent pipeline.
6. Maximize the potential of store associates to achieve sales goals and enhance customer experience.
7. Recruit and onboard new associates, including Sales Leaders.
8. Analyze store performance and implement clear action plans to optimize results.
9. Oversee all aspects of daily store operations.
10. Ensure all associates understand their goals and action plans.
11. Provide constructive feedback to support the development of effective action plans.
12. Delegate tasks and ensure the execution of strategies throughout the store.
13. Uphold company policies and ensure the safety of both associates and customers.
14. Manage merchandise flow, including shipments and replenishment, across the store.
15. Lead the team in executing merchandising strategies, operational initiatives, and loyalty programs.
16. Collaborate with the Store Manager to create effective schedules that align the right associates with the right tasks.
18. Address customer complaints effectively, identifying issues and taking proactive steps to resolve them.
19. Maintain a consistent focus on providing exceptional customer service.
20. Drive customer loyalty and credit card sign-ups through an engaged team.
21. Ensure a visually appealing store atmosphere that meets company standards.
22. Perform other essential functions as directed by management.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Years of Experience: 3-5 years in a relevant role
Proficient in technology usage (iPad, registers)
Availability for nights, weekends, and non-business hours
Meets physical requirements
Critical Skills & Attributes:
Previous retail experience is preferred
Demonstrated ability to drive sales performance
Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills
Minimum of two years in a supervisory role
Prior experience in sales management
