Quality Assurance Specialist

Work for a Central New Jersey area company that produces electro-mechanical power connection products.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough inspections of materials, components, and finished products according to defined inspection procedures and quality criteria.
- Identify and document defects, deviations, and non-conformities during inspections.
- Perform tests, measurements, and evaluations using measuring instruments and equipment to ensure products meet required specifications.
- Record inspection results, data, and findings accurately in inspection reports.
- Work closely with production teams, engineers, and quality assurance personnel to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Previous experience as a quality inspector or in a similar role is preferred.
- Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment such as calipers and ability to learn to use other testers.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and a meticulous approach to inspecting products for defects and deviations.
- Ability to analyze data and inspection results to determine conformity to quality standards and specifications.
- Good verbal and written communication skills to effectively report findings and collaborate with other team members.
- Strong problem-solving skills to identify root causes of quality issues and propose effective corrective actions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and production schedules.
- Familiarity with quality control standards, practices, and methodologies relevant to the industry is preferred.
- Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) from the American Society for Quality (ASQ) or equivalent is preferred but not required.
