Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisory Interdisciplinary Manager to join our team at the Department of the Navy. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and scientists in the cost estimating and analysis of complex programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of engineers and scientists in the cost estimating and analysis of complex programs
  • Develop and implement cost estimation and analysis methodologies and tools
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight to team members
  • Collaborate with program managers and stakeholders to ensure cost estimates are accurate and reliable
  • Develop and maintain cost estimation models and databases
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses and make recommendations to program managers
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in cost estimation and analysis
Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program
  • New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance
  • Must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required
Qualifications
  • At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-3 (GS-13 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
  • Experience leading teams of government and/or contractor personnel to conduct life cycle cost analysis for Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, National Nuclear Security Administration, or similar national security investments
  • Quantitative analysis of program cost risks and uncertainties
  • Briefing cost analysis products to senior program stakeholders and other cost estimating organizations
  • Interfacing with engineers and other technical staff to ensure common understanding of program definition
