We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pre-Service Patient Estimate Rep to join our team at Ochsner Health. As a key member of our revenue cycle team, you will play a critical role in ensuring seamless patient access to our services.
Key Responsibilities- Communicate with insurance payors to determine eligible benefits and acquire Pre-Certification(s) when necessary.
- Verify patient liability and ensure the Pre-Service process is completed in advance of scheduled services.
- Collaborate with clinical providers, case management team, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely Pre-Service processing.
- Utilize EPIC system to gather information and verify benefits.
- Perform Pre-Service collection estimation functions and communicate patient liability.
- Provide exceptional patient experience through point-of-service information and logistics.
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Associates Degree or Bachelor Degree preferred.
- 1 year related experience in a hospital, clinic, medical office, business services/revenue cycle, front line registration, financial counseling, banking, and/or customer service related job.
- Strong computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally.
- Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
