Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Front Desk Team: Support the Director, Front Office in leading the Front Desk team through building trust and relationships by nurturing a work culture that celebrates diversity, inclusiveness, belonging, growth, and development.
  • Deliver Exceptional Guest Service: Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service while creating heartfelt experiences for each and every guest.
  • Staffing and Scheduling: Ensure proper staffing and scheduling of all Front Office colleagues in accordance with productivity guidelines.
  • Communication: Communicate through pre-shift logs, emails, and departmental meetings all pertinent information for the respective shift and areas of operation.
  • Training and Development: Develop supervisors and colleagues through a meaningful training program.
  • Guest Support: Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way.
  • Adherence to Policies: Follow department policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Safety: Follow all safety policies.
  • Additional Tasks: Perform any other tasks that may be assigned.

Physical Aspects of the Position:

  • Frequent standing, walking, and sitting throughout shift.
  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting.
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps.

Qualifications:

  • Previous leadership experience required.
  • Previous PMS experience preferred.
  • Computer savvy in Microsoft Window applications an asset.
  • University/College degree in a related discipline an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly responsible and reliable.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team.
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
