Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Junior Legal Counsel for our thriving elder law practice. This role is pivotal in providing legal support to our clients, ensuring they receive the highest quality of service in a compassionate environment.

Work Schedule:
- Flexible hours: Part-time (20 hours/week) or Full-time (40 hours/week)
- Office hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with additional time for seminars as needed.

Training:
- Comprehensive training program lasting at least 2 weeks upon hiring.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver legal services to clients of the firm.
  • Conduct initial client meetings alongside the Principal Attorney, progressing to independent consultations with training.
  • Provide guidance on estate planning and elder care legal matters, including drafting necessary legal documents under supervision.
  • Utilize strong computer skills to manage client information and documentation.
  • Participate in public seminars, initially assisting the Principal Attorney, and eventually leading portions of the workshops.
  • Perform general legal and administrative tasks as assigned to ensure excellent client service.

Qualifications:
  • Genuine interest in elder law and working with senior clients.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal drafting software.
  • Preferred: Law degree, Virginia bar admission, and 2-3 years of law office experience.
