Job Summary

As a customer service agent at GAT Airline Ground Support, you will be the first point of contact for passengers at the airport. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, handling customer complaints, and ensuring a smooth passenger experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide prompt, friendly, and courteous service to customers over the phone and in person.
  • Announce incoming and outbound flights.
  • Handle credit card and personal check transactions with accuracy and process collections.
  • Accept and process checked baggage weighing up to 100 lbs.
  • Operate jetways to position them for aircraft arrival and departure.
  • Use airline computer systems to provide flight information, ticketing, and boarding documents.
  • Escort unaccompanied minors and disabled passengers throughout the airport.
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience required.
  • Ability to read, speak, and understand English.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Good communication skills and a friendly, outgoing personality required.
  • Entry-level computer skills necessary.
  • Occasional lifting of bags or items weighing between 50 and 70 pounds.
  • Pass a post-offer background check, including fingerprinting and a criminal history record check.
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
