About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Program Manager, People Programs and Development to join our team at REI Recreation Equipment, Inc. This is a critical role that will play a pivotal part in shaping leadership development and people programs strategies, initiatives, and roadmaps that support leadership engagement, talent practices, and learning & development at our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, pilot, and implement people programs that support leadership development and talent management initiatives.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners, HR Centers of Excellence, Employee Relations, Legal, and business leaders to facilitate organizational changes and respond to employee feedback on people processes.
  • Apply strategic and innovative thinking skills to create intuitive value by focusing on the needs of all employees, with an acute lens on leaders.
  • Lead people program workstreams focused on leadership development initiatives and coordinate programs across the people programs team.
  • Evaluate people programming solutions based on a balanced mix of desirable solutions that are feasible and viable to the business.
  • Understand the co-op's business and the marketplace to ensure connection of leadership development and executive development programs to business outcomes.
  • Think creatively by looking outside of the HR division to stay current with leadership development and executive development practices both within the co-op and other organizations.
Requirements
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to understand complex problems and root causes.
  • Ability to leverage quantitative and qualitative data to develop insights, guide decisions, and formulate solutions.
  • Deep business understanding to identify issues, diagnose root causes, provide insights, offer recommendations, and develop proactive solutions to solve pressing business objectives through a people-first lens.
  • Experience with Human Centered Design (Design Thinking) and ability to apply HCD in the creation of end-user centered solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
