Position Overview

The Sonnenalp Hotel is seeking dedicated Full-Time & Part-Time Seasonal Laundry Attendants. This role is essential for maintaining the quality and cleanliness of linens throughout the hotel.

Compensation: $22.00 per hour

Work Schedule: Flexible - Morning Shift (8:00 AM to 4:30 PM) or Evening Shift (2:30 PM to 11:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities

  • Efficiently collect, wash, dry, and press all hotel linens, restaurant textiles, guest clothing, and staff uniforms in accordance with Sonnenalp standards.
  • Support uniform attendants in the laundering, pressing, and distribution of uniforms as required.
  • Maintain knowledge of all cleaning agents and chemicals utilized in the laundry process.
  • Ensure the laundry area is clean, organized, and operationally efficient on a daily basis.
  • Assist staff in obtaining uniforms and managing dry cleaning requests.
  • Utilize pre-set equipment programming to wash, dry, iron, and fold linens accurately.
  • Promptly report any equipment malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
  • Participate in monthly linen inventory checks.
  • Keep a record of cleaning supplies and assist with inventory management.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment in the laundry room.
  • Respond efficiently to requests from guests, supervisors, and management.
  • Ensure all issued equipment, keys, and supplies are returned in good condition.
  • Report any missing items from the laundry area to the supervisor.
  • Adhere to a professional dress code, ensuring a neat and presentable appearance.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma is preferred.
  • Basic proficiency in English is preferred, enabling effective communication with guests and adherence to instructions.
  • Availability for a flexible work schedule, including weekdays, nights, and weekends.

Physical Requirements

  • Work primarily conducted indoors, with potential warm conditions.
  • Exercise caution when operating machinery.
  • Ability to stand for the duration of the shift.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry a minimum of 10 lbs, with the ability to handle up to 50 lbs of heavy linens.
  • Capability to kneel, bend, and work in confined spaces.
  • Tolerance for exposure to dust and cleaning chemicals.
