As a key member of our team, you will provide direct care to patients with psychiatric disorders, participating in treatment planning and implementation. Your expertise will also be utilized to precept new employees and train new Behavioral Health Associates to conduct groups.
Key Responsibilities- Treatment Planning and Implementation: Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, ensuring the highest level of care and support.
- Precepting and Training: Mentor new employees and Behavioral Health Associates, providing guidance and support to ensure they possess the necessary skills to conduct groups and provide high-quality patient care.
- Milieu Management: Contribute to the maintenance of a therapeutic environment, promoting a safe and supportive atmosphere for patients and staff.
- Education and Training: Conduct program inservices as directed, staying up-to-date on best practices and sharing knowledge with colleagues to enhance patient outcomes.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed documentation, adhering to departmental and organizational procedures to ensure seamless communication and continuity of care.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in a Behavioral Health-related field.
- Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.
- Self-Control and Professional Boundaries: Demonstrate self-control in potentially volatile situations and maintain professional boundaries, seeking supervision when needed.
- Licensure and Certification: Possess a valid driver's license and obtain CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification within 90 days of hire. Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or Red Cross is also required.
