Staff - Level II Registered Nurse (RN) - Infusion Specialist

University of Miami is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as an Infusion Level II. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Administer chemotherapy and biotherapy agents, as well as research study and non-chemotherapy medications, to oncology patients and those with multiple disease processes.
- Assess patients, evaluate plans, and document nursing care, reporting symptoms and changes in patients' condition and vital signs.
- Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses, conditions, and physician orders.
- Consult with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments, considering patient age and culture.
- Nurture a compassionate environment by providing psychological support.
- Perform patient tests and administer medications safely, maintaining accurate records.
- Communicate plans of care to patients, families, and team members, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Use available resources to assist in discharge planning.
- Plan, prioritize, and adjust assignments to accomplish goals and provide superior patient care.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
- Florida Registered Nurse License.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certification (ACLS).
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS).
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
