Job Overview

Atlas Building Group is in search of a highly skilled and motivated Traveling Supervisor to oversee daily operations of retail construction projects ranging from $500,000 to $5 Million. The role encompasses the following responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate daily activities of construction personnel, contractors, subcontractors, and manage equipment logistics.
  • Ensure comprehensive field project documentation, including daily reports, meeting minutes, requests for information (RFIs), and subcontractor tickets.
  • Maintain effective communication with the Project Manager regarding daily operations and scheduling, meticulously track and document all time and material issues, and participate in owner progress meetings while engaging professionally with all project stakeholders.
  • Uphold stringent safety and quality standards in alignment with OSHA regulations and ABG policies.
  • Assist in project scheduling, procurement of materials and equipment, delivery of owner-supplied materials, and resolve conflicts to keep the project on track.
  • Ensure a clean and organized job site while managing quality control through punch list completion and project closeout.
  • Travel is a requirement for this position.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

The successful candidate should have 5-25 years of experience as a retail superintendent in a general contracting role, with the ability to interpret plans, specifications, and phasing strategies to develop schedules and execute retail construction projects within designated timelines and budgets. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with the capability to build and maintain relationships with all project stakeholders. Success in this role will be measured by the ability to complete projects on time, within budget, and while fostering client relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of 10 Hour OSHA Training.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial contracting within the retail sector.
  • Detail-oriented with proficiency in technology (MS Office, Procore, etc.).
  • Experience with new construction and store remodels.
  • Ability to comprehend plans, specifications, and construction document controls (RFIs, etc.).
  • Expertise in construction practices and methodologies.
  • Strong oral and written communication abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Capacity to adapt and enhance company practices and procedures.
  • Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Possess a strong ethical foundation.
