Position Overview:
An Automation Project Coordinator leverages expertise in tailored automation and precision engineering to oversee the development and implementation of automated assembly systems.

These systems are specifically crafted for assembly, inspection, and testing in sectors that require meticulous component assembly, including automotive, aerospace, and medical technology.

Key Responsibilities:
The coordinator is accountable for guiding a project from inception to completion, which encompasses the transition from application/project management to project closure.

Throughout the project lifecycle, the coordinator is tasked with managing budgets and timelines while ensuring robust support for both internal and external stakeholders. This includes leading project communications and taking full responsibility for all design and assembly activities executed by skilled teams.

Core Objectives:
The Automation Project Coordinator possesses the necessary skills to manage the full scope of a project, including any adjustments that may arise. This involves effective communication and preparation of scope change proposals for client review before any modifications are made.

The coordinator also oversees a team of designers and builders to ensure that project timelines and budgets established during the proposal phase are met or exceeded.

Performance Expectations:
The coordinator is expected to ensure customer satisfaction through the quality of the equipment and services provided by Edgewater Automation.

Additionally, the coordinator is responsible for delivering financial outcomes that align with Edgewater Automation's standards for awarded projects.

Job Duties Include:
- Managing custom automation projects with budgets ranging from $125,000 to $2 million.
- Effectively communicating with management to align customer expectations.
- Setting, communicating, and managing project goals, including specifications, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Monitoring actual project costs against established budgets and forecasting potential cash flow issues.
- Utilizing Edgewater's ERP system and Microsoft Office tools to manage project workflows and budgets.

Collaboration and Communication:
- Assisting the Sales and Applications team in developing project concepts, proposals, and presentations.
- Directing daily project operations to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
- Regularly updating customers and internal teams on project status through coordinated meetings.

Safety and Compliance:
- Ensuring safe operations by adhering to established safety protocols and regulations.
- Maintaining detailed documentation of project activities and requirements.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering, management, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent experience in custom automation.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within a relevant industry.
- Strong organizational and time management skills are essential.

This role operates in a professional office and manufacturing setting, utilizing standard office equipment.
