Your Responsibilities

  • Innovate: Prepare to leave a lasting impression on the future of education as we develop the independent study program. You will be part of a team of change-makers who experiment, learn, and refine to establish a comprehensive support system for our remote learners.
  • Foster a Community of Remote Learners: Your primary role will involve supporting and mentoring Ednovate students throughout their remote learning journey, ensuring they receive the socio-emotional and academic assistance necessary for success from their own learning environments.
  • Champion Equity: Ensure that all students, regardless of their identity, have access to a high-quality, personalized college preparatory experience by analyzing data and providing targeted support tailored to their specific needs.
  • Empower Students: You will be a facilitator of student support, guiding scholars through one-on-one interactions and group settings to help them achieve their full academic and personal potential during their remote year with us.
  • Build Connections: Through advisory sessions, you will lead a dynamic group of students, engage with their families, and ensure they have all the resources needed to thrive in this new learning environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, particularly in supporting students' academic and socio-emotional needs.
  • Bachelor's degree (BA or BS).
  • Possession of a relevant California Single Subject or Multiple Subject Teaching Credential is required.
  • Experience mentoring youth in both one-on-one and group settings to help them set and achieve ambitious goals.
  • Fluency in Spanish is highly preferred.
  • Candidates must reside in California.
