Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for facilitating the development and execution of our IT portfolio, ensuring that our projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project/Program Planning
    • Identify, plan, and coordinate a set of related projects within a program, to manage their interdependencies in support of specific business strategies.
    • Develop and implement long-term goals and objectives to achieve the successful outcome of projects and programs.
    • Build strong business relationships to define strategic plans and product roadmaps.
    • Coordinate cross-functional teams (IT & Business) to ensure project alignment with organizational goals.
    • Work with the Director PMO to develop and manage a project change control process to ensure project teams operate within the scope of the change approval process.
    • Develop and manage forecasting and tracking of resources, project costs and budget.
    • Manage project team capacity and supports resource capacity planning.
  • Project/Program Management Execution
    • Lead the planning, execution, and closing of technology projects, ensuring they meet specified timelines, budgets, quality, and regulatory standards.
    • Communicate project status, updates, and results to stakeholders, including senior leadership and external partners.
    • Monitor project performance using appropriate tools and techniques, ensuring continuous improvement.
    • Ensure timely completion of tasks, maintaining project schedule and target dates.
    • Lead and direct high-priority matrix projects, which often require considerable resources and high levels of functional integration and interaction with project sponsors and teams.
    • Conduct project and program meetings at leadership and/or executive levels.
    • Facilitate and manage the change control process as it relates to assigned projects; ensures project team operates within the scope of the change approval process. Notify stakeholders of schedule, scope, and budget impacts.
    • Develop strategies around improving performance and results.
    • Identify and evaluate the risks associated with program activities and takes appropriate action to mitigate the risks.
    • Develop and manage centralized, comprehensive project plans for assigned projects including estimation of work effort for associated project plans.
    • Document procedures to monitor the progress of the project and to take corrective action when necessary.
    • Draft presentations, briefings, and updates to senior leadership as well as key internal and external stakeholders.
    • Identify and monitor project and program milestones across departments and working teams.
    • Lead day-to-day operations of assigned projects.
    • Manages the ideation process including management of the portfolio of project abstracts which include project objectives, scope, strategy, technical details, milestones, risk analysis and cost estimates.
    • Monitor compliance of standard PMO methodologies, processes and tools.
    • Prepare for and lead cross-functional meetings, including weekly managers' meetings, work-group meetings and other meetings as assigned.
    • Provide input on project work streams and design of key deliverables, (e.g., application system improvements, policies).
    • Provide written updates on all projects as assigned. Compile data and generate status reports to project team members and leadership.
    • Recommends process and/or service improvements based on understanding and anticipation of internal and external business challenges.
    • Track outcomes and progress for all assigned projects on common dashboards and escalate risks and issues in a timely manner to appropriate leadership.
    • Analyze data and reports to shape implementation plans and solutions for assigned projects.
    • Assumes responsibility for all project phases and works directly with the business and third-party vendors in accomplishing project milestones.
    • Autonomously solve unique and complex problems that have a broad impact on the business.
    • Collaborate with Rotech training team members to coordinate development of user manuals, training materials and other documents as needed to enable business readiness and a successful implementation and turnover of the process or system to end users within various departments.
    • Conduct post-project evaluation and identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Leadership/Management
    • Develop strategic planning and prioritization for the portfolio of approved projects with the Director PMO and a cross-functional team of senior executive leaders.
    • Identify risks and opportunities, taking a proactive approach to problem-solving; shares reporting and insights with a point of view to make actionable recommendations to executives on behalf of the PMO.
    • Work with the Director PMO to maintain a continuous view of resource demand and capacity across the portfolio.
    • Mentor project managers.
    • Provide input and feedback to project team members.
    • Lead the identification and implementation of opportunities for process improvement within the PMO, IT, and in cross-department work toward strategic goals.
    • Continually review available resources to maintain first-hand knowledge of where resources can be best allocated; reevaluate current resources to determine project resource surplus and shortfalls.
    • Manages project team members throughout the project execution life-cycle.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Travel
    • Travel occasionally via airplane and/or vehicle.
