Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at NavitsPartners. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating ultrasound equipment to produce complex diagnostic scans for OB/GYN patients, ensuring optimal image quality and patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnostic Imaging
    • Operate ultrasound equipment to produce diagnostic scans for OB/GYN patients, ensuring optimal image quality and patient care.
    • Review and interpret complex exams with attending physicians to determine if additional procedures are required.
  • Equipment and Quality Control
    • Evaluate and verify the image quality according to standards, ensuring adherence to quality control protocols.
    • Perform intermediate troubleshooting of ultrasound equipment and inform the supervisor as needed to maintain equipment availability.
    • Identify and distinguish appropriate ultrasound modalities, including motion mode, Doppler, two-dimensional, and color flow imaging.
  • Patient Care and Workflow
    • Inspect, clean, and prepare exam rooms after each patient to ensure efficient patient flow.
    • Complete, log, and distribute billing reports to ensure accurate patient charges.
  • Research and Education
    • Participate in various research studies regarding sonographic procedures to improve information sharing.
    • Provide clinical instructions for new physicians and fellows, ensuring the competency of healthcare providers.
    • Stay updated on developments in Sonography by attending seminars and workshops, and actively participate in professional organizations.
  • Compliance and Collaboration
    • Maintain knowledge of applicable rules, regulations, policies, and laws impacting the Sonography area.
    • Develop effective internal controls to promote adherence to state and federal laws and accreditation requirements.
Requirements
  • Experience
    • 1+ years of experience in Sonography, specifically in OB/GYN (Required)
    • Experience with MFM, high-risk OB/GYN, and pre-natal care (Required)
    • Travel experience (Preferred)
  • Certifications
    • Active certifications in OB/GYN Sonography
    • Fetal Echo certification (Strongly Preferred)
