Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team in Irving, TX. In this role, you will perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammograms, as well as DEXA scans. Knowledge of stereotactic biopsies is preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform breast imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Utilize effective communication principles to ensure patient understanding and comfort throughout the imaging process.
  • Prepare patients for procedures by positioning them appropriately and adjusting equipment settings as needed.
  • Adhere to safety and infection control policies to protect patients and staff.
  • Maintain equipment and work area cleanliness, reporting any issues to management.
  • Verify and maintain all necessary documentation, including patient history and consent forms.
  • Keep medical imaging records up-to-date in accordance with department policies.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited program.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in mammography or related field.
  • Certification/Licensure:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
  • Licensed as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) by the State of Texas Medical Board.
  • ARRT certification in Radiography (ARRT-R) and Mammography (ARRT-M).
