Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team in Irving, TX. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality breast imaging procedures, including screening and diagnostic mammograms, and Dexa scans. Knowledge of Stereotactic biopsies is preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality breast imaging procedures according to exam protocols, ensuring timely and accurate imaging results.
  • Utilize AIDET communication techniques with patients to identify service requirements, ensure correct procedures are performed, and establish rapport.
  • Prepare patients and equipment for procedures, positioning patients, adjusting immobilization devices, and setting exposure factors.
  • Adhere to safety and infection-control policies, radiation protocols, and sterile techniques during procedures.
  • Maintain the equipment and work area to ensure quality and cleanliness, reporting any issues to management.
  • Ensure the safety of individuals entering the department by screening them per approved policies.
  • Accurately maintain medical imaging records and other relevant documentation, such as patient history and consent forms.
  • Provide excellent patient care, administering first aid if necessary and ensuring overall patient satisfaction.
  • Assist in training new team members and offer guidance on new services and initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of an Accredited Program
  • Certification:
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Mammography (ARRT-M)
