Role Summary
This role is pivotal in overseeing the mechanical operations team, reporting directly to the board maintenance foreman. The supervisor will be instrumental in fostering a culture of safety, training, and motivation among the mechanics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the mechanical team, ensuring a high standard of safety and performance.
- Develop and implement training programs tailored to enhance the skills of all mechanics.
- Maintain and update the crew's training matrix, ensuring all team members are adequately prepared for their roles.
- Regularly assess and refine standard operating procedures and safety protocols to align with industry best practices.
- Oversee the weekly maintenance schedule, ensuring resources are allocated effectively.
- Facilitate weekly meetings to reflect on shop performance and align with organizational goals.
- Ensure compliance with plant safety initiatives and promote active participation in safety programs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the mechanical shop, adhering to 5S principles.
- Identify opportunities for reliability improvements and implement solutions through continuous improvement processes.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a mechanic with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, both verbal and written, within a diverse workforce.
- Thorough understanding of safety compliance and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and maintenance management software.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and make informed decisions quickly.
- Aspirations for career advancement into higher management roles.

Compensation: $80,080 annually, with potential adjustments based on experience and qualifications.
