Operations Specialist Job Description

CHS Inc. is a leading global agribusiness that provides grain, food, and energy resources to businesses and consumers worldwide. As an Operations Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and the delivery of high-quality products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out general labor responsibilities promptly and efficiently, including developing and maintaining knowledge of commodities handled at the location and complying with company policy and government regulations.
  • Work with customers in a courteous and professional manner, preparing trucks and railcars for loading/unloading, and loading and unloading agricultural inputs from railcars and/or trucks.
  • Control and monitor all load out functions, understand and operate automated scale/dump systems, and conduct and properly record daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks.
  • Monitor and maintain quality of inventory, deliver products to customer sites, and keep all work areas in a clean, orderly, and safe condition.
  • Promptly report any customer complaints, repair or maintenance needs, or safety concerns to supervisor, and maintain and promote a strong safety culture.
Requirements
  • Must meet minimum age requirement, and have 1+ years of experience in Operations and/or Business Operations.
  • Ability to operate machinery such as loaders, conveyors, tractors, and track mobile, and work extended hours during peak seasons to meet business demands.
  • High School diploma or GED preferred, and CDL license or ability to attain one with Hazmat endorsement preferred.
