As a key member of our facilities department, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe, attractive, comfortable, and clean environment for our students, faculty, and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Daily Cleaning and Maintenance: Perform daily and non-routine cleaning of campus buildings and facilities, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces.
- Event Support: Assist with set-ups for conferences, lectures, and special events, including moving furniture and ensuring that facilities are prepared for use.
- Equipment Maintenance: Notify supervisors of equipment and facilities needing repair or replacement, and perform related work as required and instructed.
- Sanitation and Hygiene: Scrub and clean restroom fixtures, keep restrooms supplied with soap and paper supplies, and ensure that all areas are clean and free of hazards.
- Physical Demands: Ability to perform manual tasks requiring moderate physical strength, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Skills: Ability to adhere to departmental operating and safety procedures, ability to perform manual tasks requiring moderate physical strength, ability to operate mechanical cleaning equipment, and ability to follow simple oral and written instruction in the conduct of the job.
