Job Summary

Westminster College is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Plant Operations and Facilities Management to lead our Plant Operations Department and provide strategic leadership and oversight of our campus facilities and grounds. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of our campus buildings, facilities, and grounds, as well as developing and implementing short and long-term department goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight of Plant Operations Department and campus facilities and grounds
  • Develop and implement short and long-term department goals and objectives
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulatory laws, rules, and regulations
  • Supervise and direct Plant Operations management and staff
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with multiple partners across campus
  • Provide oversight and direction for campus construction projects, renovations, and ADA compliance
  • Establish and oversee the budget for Plant Operations
  • Assist in the review and evaluation of policies and contracts
  • Represent the College to various external entities and outside agencies
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in facilities management, operations and construction management, or relevant field
  • At least 7-10 years of progressive management experience leading the operations of a facilities department and a team of service workers
  • Comprehensive understanding of facilities, construction, project oversight, maintenance, and operations
  • Experience overseeing the management of operational budgets and work order processes
  • Strong relationship building and communication skills with both internal and external constituents
  • Decision-making, planning, organizational, and problem-resolution skills
