Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Plant Operations and Facilities Management to join our team at Westminster College. This is a key leadership role that will oversee the maintenance and upkeep of our campus facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for our students, faculty, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight of Plant Operations and Facilities Management, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Develop and implement short- and long-term department goals, objectives, and strategic plans for plant operations, facilities, and grounds.
  • Supervise a team of maintenance and custodial staff, ensuring effective management and development of employees.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, including faculty, staff, and students, to ensure seamless operations and maintenance of campus facilities.
  • Manage budgets and contracts, ensuring efficient use of resources and maximizing value for the College.
  • Represent the College to external entities, ensuring effective communication and coordination with project sponsors, end users, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in facilities management, operations, and construction management, or a related field.
  • At least 7-10 years of progressive management experience leading the operations of a facilities department and a team of service workers.
  • Comprehensive understanding of facilities, construction, project oversight, maintenance, and operations.
  • Experience overseeing the management of operational budgets and work order processes.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to inspire a high level of commitment and performance from employees.
