As an Associate Representative (AR), you will serve as a product advisor within the Sports Medicine range, focusing on soft tissue injury repair and degenerative conditions affecting the shoulder, knee, hip, and smaller joints.
Key Responsibilities:
As a vital member of the Sports Medicine Sales Team, the AR will collaborate with a team within a designated territory and healthcare accounts. Within these accounts, the AR will be tasked with supporting clinical case coverage in the operating room, managing inventory for those cases, observing, and advising the surgical team on Smith+Nephew instruments and implants, while fulfilling the logistical requirements associated with those cases. This role necessitates working closely with Sales Representatives in the territory, as well as key orthopedic surgeons, hospital and operating room personnel, administrators, and clinicians. The position demands the ability to absorb and understand a high level of technical information related to surgical procedures.
Qualifications for Success:
Your success hinges on your dedication to becoming a technical authority in the Sports Medicine portfolio through structured training and evaluations while fostering relationships with Sales Representatives and leadership in the territory and region. Your capacity to cultivate positive relationships with surgeons, hospital staff, and colleagues will enhance access to clients, enabling you to provide data-driven, reliable solutions. In collaboration with your team, you will also create an effective territory business strategy to drive revenue and achieve or surpass your targets.
This role requires individuals to be team-oriented, detail-oriented, and adaptable to work unconventional hours to optimally support the salesforce and clients.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of two years of sales experience in the medical device sector preferred
- Preferred experience in the healthcare field, particularly in selling orthopedic products
- Proven success in selling or converting business at the surgeon or hospital level
- Experience in leading or mentoring team members and new sales representatives
Travel Requirements: Within designated sales territory with 2-4 overnight stays per month. Occasional national travel for events and conferences.
