First Shift: Monday to Thursday, 6:00 am - 4:00 pm, Compensation: $18.00/hour

Note: Potential for pay increase upon full-time status. Work 9.5 hours but compensated for 10 hours.

Position Overview:
The Machine Operator Assistant plays a crucial role in the operation and transition of machinery to ensure top-tier quality standards. This position is dedicated to executing tasks safely, efficiently, and accurately, contributing to the overall performance of the facility in terms of Safety, Quality, and Reliability (SQR), aligned with our Customer 1st strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of required personal protective equipment.
  2. Safely operate and maintain the designated machinery and associated equipment to fulfill daily production targets.
  3. Conduct safety observations as assigned.
  4. Follow standard operating procedures for the assigned machinery.
  5. Ensure compliance with all established work processes.
  6. Confirm the correct components are available at the workstation prior to commencing tasks.
  7. Keep the work area organized and clean.
  8. Perform essential functions of the role effectively.
  9. Operate vertical bar machinery for the production of electrical connectors.
  10. Conduct quality inspections of components using measuring tools such as gauges, micrometers, and calipers.
  11. Package completed products for distribution.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience in reading blueprints is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 2 years of prior machine operation experience.
  • Strong mathematical skills are required.
  • Proficiency in using gauges, micrometers, and calipers.
  • Ability to stand, lift, and bend for 8-10 hours daily.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
