Our mobile technicians deliver exceptional customer service by addressing service requests at client locations and maintaining fleet vehicles. We provide a BRAND NEW mobile service unit for on-site service calls. The role does not involve heavy diagnostics, engine work, or transmission repairs. As a mobile technician at Asheville Ford, your responsibilities include managing recalls, light repairs, and preventive maintenance through the following tasks:
  • Executing recalls per manufacturer’s technical guidelines
  • Conducting preventative maintenance such as engine tune-ups, oil changes, and filter replacements
  • Performing tasks outlined on the repair order efficiently and in accordance with dealership policies
  • Test-driving vehicles and assessing components and systems using diagnostic tools
  • Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning
  • Communicating directly with the Service Advisor to keep customers informed of additional services required
  • Providing estimates for time needed for further repairs
  • Executing warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications
  • Maintaining equipment in excellent condition by adhering to operating and safety protocols
  • Updating job and product knowledge as mandated by the manufacturer
  • Performing other assigned duties as necessary
Qualifications:
  • Preferred 2+ years of experience as a Service Technician
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical, and Engine Repair
  • Excellent dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
  • Outstanding customer service skills and basic computer proficiency
  • Positive and friendly demeanor, with a willingness to learn
  • Enjoyment of a dynamic work environment
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members
  • Capacity to learn new technologies, repair methods, and specifications
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
