Job Title: Tasting Room Manager

Madson Wines is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tasting Room Manager to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our tasting room, including staff scheduling, inventory management, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the tasting room staff, including scheduling, training, and coaching.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a memorable guest experience.
  • Host and manage tasting experiences in both indoor and outdoor settings.
  • Manage financial performance, tracking budget to actual performance against key metrics.
  • Maintain high standards for the appearance of the tasting spaces and storage areas.
  • Manage wine club members and customers, executing the wine club release protocol biannually.
  • Develop training programs and on-going education for staff.
  • Collaborate with other department heads to execute events and special projects.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in wine industry retail management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and POS systems.
  • Understanding of winemaking and ability to educate and inform others.
  • Friendly, enthusiastic, customer-centric demeanor and professional appearance.
  • Self-starter with initiative and creativity to drive qualified traffic.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and maneuver wine cases up to 50 lbs. repetitively.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Flexible schedule, including weekend, holiday, and occasional evening work.
