Senior Principal Mission Management Equipment Responsible Engineer

Northrop Grumman's Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Principal Mission Management Equipment Responsible Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in defining the future. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL.
The successful candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of computers and electronics for mission processing and data storage, as well as experience in the definition, design, integration, test, and certification of related hardware and software requirements. Key responsibilities will include:
- Interpreting, allocating, tailoring, writing, and flowing down requirements to all levels of a system architecture
- Designing and developing computer and network architectures, performing hardware integration and testing, and requirements analysis
- Conducting trade studies, documenting subsystem architectures, analyzing performance, and evaluating Technology Readiness Level (TRL) with regard to supplier current and future products offerings
- Documenting designs using detailed schematics, diagrams, and specifications
- Collaborating with engineers and program stakeholders to integrate mission management subsystems to meet platform mission objectives
- Technical management of program strategic partners and suppliers, including development, acquisition, acceptance, qualification, system integration, and test support
- Developing supplier documentation, performance-based specifications, and statements of work
- Building supplier evaluation criteria and experience in conducting technical evaluations, documenting results, and selection
- Reviewing documents from the supplier's development effort and supporting supplier technical interchange meetings and design reviews
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 9 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering, or a Master's degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university and 7 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering, or a Ph.D. and 4 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering. Additionally, the candidate must have an active DoD Secret clearance that is in-scope (granted or renewed within the last 6 years) and the ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.
