Job Overview

Firetrol Protection Systems is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing/Accounts Payable Administrator to join our team in Houston, TX.

As a key member of our district office, this role will be responsible for performing administrative and accounts payable functions in accordance with established procedures.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, outstanding communication abilities, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable files and records
  • Process invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established procedures
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to accounts payable
  • Ensure timely and accurate payment processing
  • Manage accounts payable using GreatPlains and other software systems
  • Perform data entry for the purchasing department
  • Assist the purchasing department with other duties as needed
  • Provide exceptional administrative and clerical support to colleagues and supervisors

Requirements

  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Experience with Microsoft Great Plains preferred
