The ideal candidate will possess prior supervisory or charge nurse experience in an inpatient setting. This role is pivotal in enhancing the quality of care and operational efficiency within the unit.
As a Clinical Nurse Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
- Leading and managing nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Implementing best practices and quality improvement initiatives.
- Conducting safety huddles and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Monitoring key performance indicators and facilitating audits.
- Coaching and mentoring nursing staff to foster professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations and ensure adherence to clinical standards.
- Engage in effective communication with team members and other departments.
- Participate in quality assurance activities and contribute to service improvement plans.
- Facilitate staff training and development programs.
- Act as a liaison between nursing staff and management to address concerns and enhance team dynamics.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience; preference for candidates with over two years in a relevant specialty.
- Educational background: BSN or MSN preferred; candidates with an Associate Degree in Nursing must be actively pursuing a BSN.
- Current BLS certification is required; specialty certification must be obtained within one year of hire.
