Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Material Coordinator to join our team at Kelly. As a Material Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating the movement of materials and supplies within our warehouse. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is looking for a challenging role that offers opportunities for growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assigning dock doors to drivers and tracking carriers as they arrive at the facility
  • Tracking hot shipments in transit to the facility
  • Preparing and executing all shipping documents and system transactions for each truck that is shipped
  • Producing daily reports from the warehouse management system and using Excel to prepare them for publishing
  • Interacting with remote clients from all over the world to support a variety of ship to's in the Kentuckiana region
  • Ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of ASN's for outgoing shipments
  • Reviewing client web portal for updated information and inputting data into the client web portal
  • Assisting with cycle counts and inventory discrepancy investigation
  • Participating in root cause analysis and corrective action preparation
  • Communicating with customers regarding late deliveries, order changes, missed information, and tracking numbers
  • Answering incoming calls/emails into the facility
  • Monitoring MS Teams and responding to client and internal messages promptly

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years of related experience and/or training
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems
  • Strong computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment, including Word and Excel
  • Excellent basic functionality in Excel and Word
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment with exposure to dust and various weather conditions
  • Ability to operate a forklift (preferred but not required)
