Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Prepared Foods Team Lead to join our team at Whole Foods Market. As a key member of our prepared foods department, you will be responsible for leading a team of associates to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of prepared foods associates to achieve sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our products, including ingredients, preparation methods, and nutritional information.
  • Work closely with the team leader to analyze sales data, identify trends, and develop strategies to drive sales growth.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding promptly to customer needs and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with the team leader to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, adhering to all food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Develop and implement effective training programs to ensure all team members have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
  • Monitor and control labor costs, ensuring that all team members are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Stay up-to-date on new products, promotions, and initiatives, communicating relevant information to the team and customers.
Requirements
  • 18+ months retail team member experience and 6+ months of supervisory experience.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret sales data and develop effective strategies.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Physical ability to lift 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in a dynamic environment.
