POSITION SUMMARY
Provide essential support services to residents as outlined in their individualized service plans. Collaborate in the formulation and updates of these plans. Monitor and report any resident concerns. Execute various dining services, recreational activities, and cleaning responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both spoken and written.
Comply with state or provincial health regulations.
Maintain any necessary certifications as mandated by state or provincial laws.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assist residents in daily living activities as specified in their service plans.
2. Support residents in simple medical treatments as detailed in their service plans.
3. Address residents' emotional well-being and behavioral issues as indicated in their service plans.
4. Provide additional services for residents as outlined in their service plans (e.g., laundry and pet care).

(Team members with potential risks related to pet care (e.g., allergies and pregnancy) should take precautions and consult their supervisor regarding any concerns.)


5. Contribute to the creation and modification of service plans by communicating current resident needs and preferences, as well as effective service strategies, to the supervisor.
6. Monitor and report resident issues (as specified in the Observation and Reporting sections of the Resident Assistant Resource or in service plans) to the Charge Nurse (if present) or Medication Attendant.
7. Carry out dining service tasks as assigned on the Daily Assignments form, including serving meals, delivering meal trays to residents' suites, clearing tables, cleaning the dining area post-meals, and setting tables.
8. Engage in activity-related duties as directed by the AL Manager or Wellbeing Director, which may include leading group activities, participating in individual resident activities, and accompanying residents to community events.
9. Perform housekeeping tasks as indicated on the Daily Assignments form (e.g., vacuuming common areas and sanitizing public restrooms).
10. Review the Communication Log at the start of each shift; document relevant information in the Communication Log by the end of each shift.
11. Examine Shift Change Notes at the beginning of each shift; record pertinent information in the Shift Change Notes by the end of each shift.
12. Inform the Resident Care Manager / AL Manager of any supply needs.
13. Execute additional responsibilities as assigned by the Resident Care Manager / AL Manager.
