Job Title: Quality Control and Assurance Supervisor

At Plant Grow Harvest, we are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control and Assurance Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our quality team, you will be responsible for overseeing all quality control processes and ensuring our products consistently meet the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the quality of all potato and potato seed products, ensuring they meet established standards and customer expectations.
  • Lead and supervise a team of 4 Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) leads, providing training, coaching, and performance feedback.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain effective QA/QC programs and procedures.
  • Conduct internal audits and participate in external audits (e.g., Primus, Customer, Regulatory) to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Lead the process for corrective and preventive actions related to non-conforming products.
  • Manage the calibration and control of monitoring and measuring equipment used in the QC/QA processes.
  • Analyze data and identify trends to continuously improve quality control processes.
  • Maintain accurate and complete quality control documentation.
  • Implement and enforce company policies related to quality assurance and control.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Agriculture, or a related field or 5 years of experience in a leadership role within the Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control field in the food industry.
  • Proven experience in leading and motivating a team.
  • Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001, HACCP) and quality control principles (e.g., Six Sigma) highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Competitive salary range: $70,000 - $90,000 per year.
  • Up to 10% bonus at management discretion.
