Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance and Control Supervisor to join our team at Plant Grow Harvest. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing all quality control processes and ensuring our products consistently meet the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Control Oversight: Manage the quality of all potato and potato seed products, ensuring they meet established standards and customer expectations.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and supervise a team of 4 Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) leads, providing training, coaching, and performance feedback.
  • Quality Program Development: Develop, implement, and maintain effective QA/QC programs and procedures.
  • Audit and Compliance: Conduct internal audits and participate in external audits (e.g., Primus, Customer, Regulatory) to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Corrective and Preventive Actions: Lead the process for corrective and preventive actions related to non-conforming products.
  • Equipment Calibration: Manage the calibration and control of monitoring and measuring equipment used in the QC/QA processes.
  • Process Improvement: Analyze data and identify trends to continuously improve quality control processes.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and complete quality control documentation.
  • Policies and Procedures: Implement and enforce company policies related to quality assurance and control.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Agriculture, or a related field or 5 years of experience in a leadership role within the Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control field in the food industry.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience in leading and motivating a team.
  • Quality Management: Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001, HACCP) and quality control principles (e.g., Six Sigma) highly desirable.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Independence and Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to Detail: Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary: $70-90k base salary.
  • Bonus: Up to 10% bonus at management discretion.
