Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Resident Coordinator to join our team at HomeFirst Services of Santa Clara County. As a key member of our Overnight Warming Location team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our program participants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct client service and support to program participants, including facilitating access to on-site amenities and ensuring their essential needs are met.
  • Conduct regular safety and security checks, implement and enforce HomeFirst guidelines and site rules, and welcome guests to the facility.
  • Document all notes of services provided, complete intake of potential participants, and work with participants to execute their personalized housing plans.
  • Make timely and appropriate decisions in emergency situations, respond to guest crises using de-escalation and Mental Health First Aid techniques, and adhere to HomeFirst's service delivery practices.
Requirements
  • Experience supporting unhoused populations and/or individuals in social services programs.
  • Lived experience or understanding of and sensitivity to the needs of the unhoused population.
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn data entry using web-based database systems.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, ability to work effectively within a team, and strong sense of accountability.
