Job Description

Position Overview:

As a Rubber Molding Press Technician, you will be integral to our manufacturing operations. Your primary responsibility will be to operate press machinery that shapes and molds rubber into a variety of products, adhering to specific customer requirements. This position demands physical stamina, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong commitment to maintaining safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate press machinery to shape and mold rubber materials in a production setting.
  • Ensure proper machine setup and efficient operation throughout your shift.
  • Monitor machinery to uphold the quality and consistency of molded items.
  • Adjust machine parameters to align with product specifications and production targets.
  • Conduct inspections of finished products to verify quality and compliance with customer specifications.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including long sleeves, gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toe footwear.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as a press technician or in a comparable manufacturing role is advantageous.
  • Capability to stand for prolonged periods and perform physical tasks involving lifting, bending, and machinery operation.
  • Strong upper body strength and comfort with repetitive tasks.
  • Detail-oriented approach to ensure products meet established quality standards.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adhere to safety protocols and company policies.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as necessary to fulfill production requirements.

Physical Demands:

  • Continuous operation of press machinery throughout the shift.
  • Pressing and molding rubber materials using heat and steam techniques.
  • Ability to stand in a fixed position for extended durations.
