The Mold Maintenance Technician is tasked with executing preventative maintenance, including the inspection of all molds during assembly to ensure quality standards are met.

This role is situated within the PM Tooling department and will be conducted on-site. Typical working hours will be in the afternoon to evening shift. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the foremost provider of seamlessly integrated diagnostic solutions.

In this position, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Assist mold makers and maintenance technicians with unexpected repairs.
  • Receive training to conduct maintenance on plastic injection molds and utilize inspection tools.
  • Uphold tool shop standards, practices, and cleanliness (5S methodology).
The essential qualifications for this role include:
  • A High School Diploma (or equivalent experience) with 1-2 years of relevant work experience OR an Associate's or Technical Trade Degree with 0-1 years of experience.
  • A mechanical background is essential.
  • Proficiency in computer skills.
It would be advantageous if you also have prior experience in:
  • Operating Machine Shop Machines, CNC Mills, Lathes, and Grinders.
  • Repairing or maintaining plastic injection molds.

The hourly compensation for this position is $27.00. This represents the range that we believe, in good faith, reflects the potential earnings for this role at the time of this posting. Compensation may vary, and this range may be adjusted in the future.

This position is also eligible for bonus or incentive pay.
