Job Summary

We are seeking a talented Civil Engineer Intern to join our team at Mott MacDonald. As a Civil Engineer Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, develop your skills, and contribute to our purpose.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs
  • Attend site inspections, investigations, and monitoring
  • Participate in project, client, and team meetings
  • Review, prepare, and modify designs
  • Analyze reports, specifications, and studies
  • Gain exposure to project, commercial, and client management
  • Undertake a 'digital by default' approach in deliverables
  • Participate in our Early Careers Professionals Network
  • Support our 'Purpose' in everything you do
Requirements
  • Working towards a bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering or a related field from an accredited university
  • Methodical approach to problem-solving to undertake tasks efficiently and independently
  • Excellent verbal communication skills to confidently liaise with clients and team members
  • Excellent technical written communication and attention to detail, with an ability to demonstrate accurate technical drawings and good report writing
  • Excellent teamwork skills, collaborating effectively with colleagues
  • Working towards Professional Engineer (PE) certification
  • Demonstrable interest in engineering projects through relevant experience, such as field of study, internships, volunteering, or relevant association memberships
