{"About the Role": "We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Engineering student for a summer internship in our Special Projects Group. The internship will provide opportunities to work on a variety of projects, including civil, design-build transportation, structural, industrial, and waterfront infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities will include assisting a civil engineer with various tasks associated with project design, including calculations, plan production and review, and cost estimating. The intern may also be required to assist with project site visits and navigate through jobsites while complying with all Company and Site safety requirements.

We are looking for individuals who are able to work collaboratively with project team members and clients on a variety of projects, are detail-oriented and have a desire for continued learning, and have clear communication and writing skills.

Example projects may include ports, harbors, and light industrial related projects on the waterfront, stormwater conveyance and treatment and design, environmental cleanup and habitat restoration, container terminal infrastructure design, marinas, ferry terminals, waterway dredging, and fisheries engineering.

Physical demands and work environment include duties primarily conducted in a standard office setting, requiring prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or computer table. Occasionally may be required to lift objects weighing up to 15 lbs. and visit project locations and perform field inspections which may involve walking, standing, kneeling, or navigating uneven terrain.
